Common Roots represents a diverse and contemporary collective of current and former dancers with the Graham Company, who have each developed our own creative visions as performing artists, directors, and choreographers that have lead us to perch upon many different branches within the great tree of dance.  This project seeks to illuminate these different visions, while at the same time paying homage to our Graham roots, our common dance ancestor that continues to nourish us.  How is it that we carry forward our Graham teachings in our creative process?  Indeed these impulses run deeply through the bodymind! And what happens when we merge this intelligence with other forms of dance, theatre, cultures, or ways of knowing?
